We are still waiting to meet Max.

The crib Max will stay in when he arrives. We expect to meet him at 7:00 or 8:00 am tomorrow (April 16th for you guys). We can't wait!!!!!!

We left Beijing this morning and boarded our plane for Lanzhou. We landed at about 11:45 am and were told we would meet the children at 3:00pm today. We had lunch and returned to the room to wait as Frank told us our children would be brought to our rooms by the nannies and director. At 2:00pm Frank told us the children were going to be late and would be here at 4:00 pm. dan and I waited anxiously as you can imagine. As the time ticked slowly by, our anxiety only increased. At 4:15, no Frank, no baby. We kept the door to our room open so we may hear them as they can down the hall. Well, at 4:45 we heard some crying and ran to our hotel room door. As we looked we could see it was not Max. Frank and our local guide came to our door and informed us that there was a terrible sandstorm that was turning into rain and wind (sandstorms are frequent). The vehicle Max was in had to stop and return to the orphanage. We were told Max is taking the train from ZhangYe to Lanzhou and we will meet him in the morning at 7:00 am, April 17th (April 16th for all of you North America people).

We are sad, but it's far more important that he is safe.

We will update you tomorrow when we can.
